County Chapel
A County Deputy
Marriage Commissioner can perform a civil marriage ceremony in
the County Clerk's Chapel by appointment only Monday through
Friday (excluding holidays) at 10 and 10:30 a.m. and 2 and
2:30 p.m. The cost is
$35.00 payable in advance and is non-refundable. In addition to the betrothed couple,
one witness must be present. To make
an appointment, please call (650) 363-4500.
The chapel will hold a wedding party of 20 people.

Personal Deputy Commissioner of Marriages for a Day
To be a Deputy Commissioner of Marriages in San Mateo County
for one specific day please contact Kaylene Keller at (650)
599-1251 to schedule an appointment. You will be required
to bring a photo ID to your appointment. Once at the appointment,
you will be asked to say an oath and sign a certificate. This
service is for couples getting married in San Mateo County
only.
Civil Ceremony at a Location of Your Choice
As a public service, the County Clerk maintains the below list of marriage
commissioners authorized to perform civil marriages. Interested persons should contact the marriage commissioners
directly to confirm his or her qualifications and the
location, nature, and cost of the services they provide. The County
Clerk does not regulate and is not responsible for the services
offered or provided by these individuals.
